When it comes to living a healthy life, we all prefer to take the easy way out. Rather than drinking a lot of water we prefer having soft drinks or fruit smoothies. Instead of eating green veggies and fruits to take in the necessary vitamins we prefer popping pills. You don’t have to do drastic changes to see their impact on the lifestyle that we are leading. Small changes make big impacts on your wellness.

What Water Can Do

More than half of our body is made up of water. That is to say, the main component of blood is water as well as the brain and spinal cord are floating in cerebrospinal fluid. Water is a must for a lot of functions in our body. Not only our skin gets dry due to lack of water, but also internal organs can reduce the efficiency of working due to it.

This is when we feel thirsty. We are used to drinking many other liquids when we get thirsty, such as fruit juices and soft drinks. What we forget is that by these commercial beverages a lot of sugar also enters our body. The impact sugar has on our body has to be discussed separately as it plays a huge role in maintaining balance as well as pushing our bodies towards non-communicable diseases such as diabetes.

What You Eat

With the busy lifestyles of people what is taken in as food can have a huge impact. Whereas we used to eat a predominantly plant and meat-based diet, largely cooked at our own homes, now it has moved to fast food sourced from restaurants which use an unhealthy amount of oil to fry everything and sweetened drinks. Eating a salad now and then is not having a balanced diet.

If it is very difficult for you to stick to eating both vegetables-fruits and fried items, at least try having something like herbal food once in a while. You can easily source herbal teas online and sip it while you are working or reading something. Most people are under the false understanding that healthy food is not tasty. This is a wrong assumption; it depends100% on how you prepare the food. If you can make your own food, you can make it tasty as well as healthy.

Work Your Body

Human bodies can be compared to a machine. A machine works when enough oil is poured into it. If you put in corrosive oil, it won’t give out the expected result. If you put in water there will be no results at all. Similarly, if we put in the right food and water into our bodies, it is easier to work them and get what you want out of it.

If we feed it only oil and fatty food, sugar-based food items and carbonized drinks, the result will be a lazy body not to mention an overweight one. Even if you do eat 100% healthy, there is nothing wrong with working out. You don’t have to go to a gym. You can simply work out at home, go for a walk, cycle, walk your pet and so much more.

Try starting with small changes. When they make a big impact, you will see how true this is.
